What the site is
Vanilla Audio is an English-language erotic audio platform where most recordings are free to play straight from a public timeline. The home page promises "sizzling vanilla erotic audio to excite you, and comforting, intimate audios to soothe you - and most are free to listen," performed by "female and male voices" making "intimate, positive vanilla audios for men and women."
The about page calls it "a public, timeline-based, multi-creator 18+ platform dedicated to intimate, erotic/non-erotic audio." Its reason for existing is specific: it is "an alternative for people who are sensitive to some of the common terms, tags and themes that are popular in the erotic audio sphere," because "Many of our listeners are abuse survivors, or experienced some sort of sexual trauma." The home page sums up the rule as "no extreme kinks, just sizzling vanilla erotic audio." The about page adds that this "does not mean we are anti-kink," comparing it to a country music station that does not play classic rock without disapproving of it. The footer copyright line runs from 2019.
The free offer
The home page is the timeline, sorted by "NEW" or "OLD", with ABOUT, SEARCH, HOME, JOIN and LOG IN in the header. Each post carries a bracketed tag for who is speaking to whom, such as [M4F] or [F4A], often an [Erotic] label, a running time on many posts, the creator's handle, a short description and a long string of hashtags. Running times on the hashtag pages include 13:09, 15:37, 25:01 and 33:16.
Hashtags are the way to browse. Every tag has its own page gathering the audios that use it, and the tags describe mood and setting as much as acts: #Snuggles, #Cuddles, #Sleepy, #Appreciation, #Waking_Up_Together, #aftercare, #Relaxing, #Closeness and #Strangers_to_Lovers sit beside the explicit ones. Accent tags such as #British_accent and #Scottish_accent let a listener pick a voice, and #consent and #condom tags appear on posts. Some posts are script fills, credited to the writer of the script, and one written "without genders" says that way "the listener can insert themselves into the audio no matter what pronouns they identify as."
A second free strand is not erotic at all. Mini Monday Moments are "short, non erotic, wholly safe for work,(usually) gender neutral audios covering all manner of small, common little day-to-day scenarios that someone may need support/comfort/reassurance for," and listeners can suggest new ones through a form. The site says they are "now available on all major podcast platforms."
The site runs in the browser on any device. An FAQ post says "The Vanilla Audio website is a WebApp. Which means it works just as well on your phone as it does on your laptop or desktop." Another FAQ post from a creator explains how to tell a creator's private posts from public ones. The about section has pages headed Info for Listeners, Info for Creators, Terms and Payment, Common Questions, Scripts and Writers, Writer's Submissions and Contact & Help. The site does not say whether a free account is needed to play the free audios.
Where free stops, and the rules
The paid line runs through the same timeline. The home page explains it this way: "To pay our performers and writers, some audios are members-only Exclusives." In October 2026 the home page put that membership at $6.99 per month, said members "can even use PayPal, through our payment processor Epoch," and promised that "if you join now, your price will never increase." Exclusive posts appear under a Vanilla Audio Exclusives account among the free ones, labeled "Original Content Exclusives" and carrying the line "Join here to hear this." The terms, for their part, reserve the right to change subscription fees "at any time without notice," with changes taking effect when an existing subscription expires. The terms also describe an affiliate program run by the site.
The terms set the house rules. Users must be at least 18. Members are "solely responsible" for what they upload and must hold the rights to it; they may not post private details of third parties such as phone numbers, street addresses, last names or email addresses, and the site has a "zero tolerance policy towards any content that promotes, suggests or depicts any type of child abuse," reporting such files to law enforcement. The terms say the site "operates the Site and Services as a neutral party" and "does not regularly monitor" member content, while reserving the right to decide whether uploads are appropriate and remove them without notice. Scraping and mirroring the site are banned.
Copyright has its own page. A notice needs a signature, the work, the URLs, contact details, a good-faith statement and a statement under penalty of perjury, and the site asks complainants to "Allow one business day for us to respond." A counter-notice is answered "within 7 business days." Repeat infringers are cut off under a "Three Strike Rule," with posting restored only after the material is confirmed gone, and the page says the site uses "a non-intrusive security technology which allows us to identify the user who has posted it." The 18 U.S.C. 2257 statement says everyone in any visual depiction was 18 or older and gives a records address in Dublin, Ireland.
Who it suits, and who it does not
Vanilla Audio suits a listener who wants erotic audio without the harsher themes common elsewhere: romance, cuddling, waking-up-together scenes and affectionate couples, with tags that make the mood clear. It is a good fit for women and for anyone who has found mainstream erotic audio uncomfortable, which is exactly who the about page says it was built for. The free Mini Monday Moments add something rare, short comfort audios for everyday stress, and script writers have a submissions route.
It does not suit a listener after kink, since the house rules keep extreme themes out. Members-only posts sit in the same timeline as free ones, so a free listener will scroll past audio they cannot play. The site names no operator beyond VanillaAudio.com itself.
The strength is a clear identity: a free, browsable timeline of gentle erotic audio, tagged by mood, with written rules and a takedown process laid out in full.
