What the site is

ShareSexStories is an English-language, text-only community of erotic stories, confessions and fantasies written by its members, and its story pages, topic index and home feed open without paying. The home page sums it up as "Real stories. Real desire. Intimate experiences and fantasies, written and shared by an open community," and the about page promises "No visuals. Just words."

It is a small site with a clear stance. The about page describes an independent platform "built and run by a small team," and argues for text over video on the grounds that "Text also means no one was filmed to make it." It says it is for "adults of all genders and orientations," whether readers, experienced erotica writers or people who want to tell something that happened to them. The terms, dated February 2025, say the operator's full legal details are in an Impressum as German law requires.

The free library and how it is organized

Stories are filed by topic, and the topics page is the clearest map of the library. It counts "245 tagged stories across 53 topics" and groups them under these headings: Story Type, Tone & Style, Identity & Orientation, Scenarios & Settings, People & Demographics, Acts & Experiences, Kink & Fetish, and Group Dynamics. Under Story Type, Real Story leads with 24 tagged stories, ahead of Confession (9), Fantasy (7) and Fiction (4), so true accounts and confessions are the backbone. Straight is the largest orientation topic with 21, with Bisexual and Lesbian on 3 each; Couples leads its group with 12; Domination/Submission has 10 and BDSM 7 under Kink & Fetish; Seduction, Anal and Oral each carry 8. Every count sits beside its topic, so a reader can see where the archive is deep before clicking.

The home page shows a "Latest from the community" feed with Hot, Top and New tabs and a pager reading "Page 1 of 3". Each card shows the title, the author's username or "Anonymous", its topic tags and the opening lines. The site menu adds Browse Topics, Popular Stories, New Stories, a Blog, Write a Story and a "Submit via Email" route for writers who would rather send a story in than use the editor.

Story pages carry the full text with its tags, a Save button, a comment thread with a 2000-character box and dated replies, and a "Keep reading" block of further stories. The about page says the library holds "thousands of stories," while the topics page counts 245 tagged; the site gives no figure for untagged ones.

What an account adds

The terms say "To access most features of the Platform, you must register an account using a valid email address and a secure password." The about page names those features: sharing your own experiences or fantasies, posting anonymously, saving stories to your own collections and engaging with the community. Anonymous posting hides the username on the story, but the terms say the operator keeps records linking anonymous posts to accounts "for moderation and legal compliance purposes." Members can block other users, after which "Blocked users will not be able to comment on your stories or send you messages," and the terms describe tools for reporting harassment. One account per person is the rule, and an account can be deleted from its settings at any time.

Where free stops, and the rules

There is no price on the site. The terms say the platform "may offer paid premium subscription tiers" with "AI-generated audio narration of stories, advanced content recommendations, and an ad-free experience," with pricing to be set out on a subscription page, recurring billing, cancellation at the end of the period and no refunds for part-used periods except where law requires. On money, the about page says the team is "not backed by a media conglomerate or an ad network."

The rules are written out in full. The about page's short version reads "18+ only. No exceptions," "Text only," "Consent matters," "No minors. Ever," and "Be decent." The community guidelines add that stories based on real experiences must protect the people in them: never a real name, and no mix of workplace, place or description that could identify someone. They ban hate aimed at any group, ask authors to tag intense themes so "readers make informed choices," and say "Our moderation team reviews every report." Enforcement runs from a note asking for a correction, through removal and temporary suspension, to permanent account removal, with the most serious cases handled "immediately and without warning."

The terms ban any sexual content involving people under 18, including fictional characters written that way, content describing real identifiable people without their consent, and all images and video. The about page says "We moderate everything. All stories go through a review process before they're published," while the terms say stories are reviewed "before or after publication."

Authors keep copyright but grant the operator a "worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive license," including turning stories into audio narration for premium features, and "Authors do not receive revenue share or royalties." Deleting an account permanently deletes every story posted under it, anonymous ones included. Anyone who finds themselves described in a story without consent can send a takedown request to the Impressum contact, and "DMCA-compliant notices" go to the same address. Age is self-declared at 18 or older, and the operator "reserves the right to request identity verification at any time." German law governs the terms.

Who it suits, and who it does not

ShareSexStories suits an adult reader who prefers first-person confessions and true accounts to polished fiction, and who likes to choose by topic tag. It suits a writer who wants a moderated space with anonymous posting, blocking and a written consent policy, and it fits anyone who agrees with its case for text over filmed porn.

It does not suit a reader after a large archive: the tagged library is small, and many topics hold only a handful of stories. It does not suit anyone who wants pictures or audio, since the platform allows neither. Writers should read the license before posting, because it is perpetual and covers paid audio features without payment to authors.

The strength is a tidy topic index, open story pages and rules on consent, privacy and minors that are spelled out rather than implied.
