What the site is
ORION Geschichten is a free German-language archive of erotic short stories, written by its own members and readable without paying. The page title says it plainly, "Erotische Geschichten kostenlos online lesen" (read erotic stories online for free), and the masthead on every page reads "Über 4500 kostenlose erotische Geschichten" (over 4500 free erotic stories). The archive runs under the ORION brand, whose online shop sits behind the product blocks and the footer links, and the story lists carry no price, no premium label and no paywall.
The interface and the stories are in German. The library page's description speaks of more than 4500 free stories "von über 100 männlichen und weiblichen Autoren" (by over 100 male and female authors), which gives a sense of who writes here: a community of amateur authors rather than a single editorial team.
The free library and how it is organized
The full archive sits on the "Alle Geschichten" page, which counts "4555 erotische Geschichten" and can show 24, 48 or 96 stories per page, sorted by date, popularity ("Beliebtheit") or number of comments. The pager under the list runs to 190 pages, so sorting is the practical way in.
Themes do the rest of the work. The category menu, repeated on every page, lists each theme with its story count in brackets, which shows at a glance where the archive is deep and where it is thin. The broad categories hold the most: Mann & Frau (man and woman) lists 1797 stories, Anonym 716, Erlebnisbericht (personal account) 488 and Beziehung (relationship) 461. Other themes cover settings and situations, such as Urlaubssex (holiday sex), Bürosex (office sex), Outdoor and Online-Dating, and forms such as Fantasie, Rollenspiel (role play), Erotische Erzählung (erotic tale) and Wahre Geschichte (true story), the last with only 10 entries. There are sections for Lesbisch (220), Schwul (gay, 44) and Trans (11), and kink readers get BDSM & Fetisch (289) and smaller lists such as Fußfetisch (foot fetish, 15). Most stories carry several theme labels at once, so the same piece can turn up under a setting, a form and a relationship type.
Each row in a list gives the story title, the author's username, the posting date, a "Favorit" marker for saving it, the opening lines as a preview, a reading time and the theme labels. Reading times run from "2 Min. Lesezeit" for a quick piece to "35 - 42 Min. Lesezeit" for a long one, so a reader can pick by length before opening anything. Longer works appear as series, with parts and chapters posted separately and later parts point readers back to the earlier ones.
The home page adds editorial and ranked entry points. "Die neuesten Geschichten" lists the latest postings with their dates, "Die beliebtesten Geschichten" ranks stories by how often they have been read and prints the read count beside each, "Am häufigsten kommentiert" ranks by comment count, "Empfehlungen der Redaktion" holds the editors' picks, and a "Newcomer" block names new authors. Featured stories open the home page with their first paragraphs in full.
The rankings show how much the archive gets read. The most-read story on the home page list reports "328197 mal gelesen" (read 328197 times), and the other stories on that short list also show six-figure read counts. The comment ranking is smaller in scale but shows that readers talk back: its leading story has 147 comments. A new reader can start with what others have chosen rather than with the newest upload.
Several themes also hint at what the members write most. Selbstbefriedigung (masturbation) lists 424 stories, Dreier (threesome) 314, Swinger 223 and Sexspielzeug (sex toys) 216, the theme closest to what the ORION shop sells. Smaller lists such as Gangbang (24) and Sexstellungen (positions, 26) cover narrower interests.
Accounts and writing for the site
The stories are billed as free reading, and the account features the site names are about taking part: "Geschichte schreiben" (write a story), "Favoriten" for a personal list of saved stories, and "Mein Konto" (my account). A login box asks for a username or email address and a password, with "Passwort vergessen?" for resets and a "Registrieren" link for new accounts. The home page description invites visitors to browse and sign up: "Jetzt stöbern und anmelden".
Writing is the main thing an account opens up. A banner on every page invites readers to "Werde jetzt Autor und teile deine Geschichten" (become an author now and share your stories), and authors get their own phone contact line under "Hilfe & Service", headed "Kontakt für Autoren" (contact for authors). Readers can comment, and the most-commented ranking prints each story's comment count.
Where free stops, and the rules
There is no paid reading tier. The commercial side is the ORION shop. Story lists end with a block headed "Diese Produkte passen zu deinen Geschichten" (these products suit your stories), showing items such as a G-spot vibrator, a babydoll set, clitoral drops and a padded bondage kit, each linked to the shop. Visitors can also order "Dein Gratis ORION Katalog" (your free ORION catalog) and pick between national ORION shop versions. No prices appear on the story pages.
The rules live in footer documents: Teilnahmebedingungen (terms of participation), AGB (general terms), Jugendschutz, Datenschutz (privacy), Datenschutzeinstellungen (privacy settings) and an Impressum (legal notice). The story lists do not say how submissions are moderated or how a story is removed. There is no search box in the menu; the theme list and the three sort orders are the navigation.
Who it suits, and who it does not
ORION Geschichten suits a German reader who wants a large free archive of amateur erotic stories and likes to choose by theme, length or popularity. The reading times and the multi-label system make it easy to find a short piece for a few minutes or a long series for an evening, and the read and comment rankings show what other readers return to. It also suits someone who wants to publish, since the author invitation is on every page and new authors are featured on the home page.
It does not suit a reader without German, since nothing is translated, or one who wants to search for a phrase or title. Some themes are small, so a reader after a narrow niche may find a short list. The shop blocks are on every list page, which a reader who only wants the stories will notice.
The strength is the size and openness of the archive: thousands of member stories, sorted and labeled in detail, free to read under the name of an adult brand that funds it through its shop rather than through the reader.
