What Stripchat is
Stripchat is a live webcam site whose public rooms anyone can watch for free, with amateurs, professionals and couples broadcasting from their own rooms. Its support tour calls it "a free online community where you can watch amazing amateur models perform live" and adds that it is "100% free providing instant access to everybody". The interface is in English by default, and the language menu offers a long list of others, among them Deutsch, Français, Español, Italiano, Polski and 日本語. The about page talks of "More than 100,000 models", the footer of "over 150,000 amateurs, professionals, and couples to choose from every month", and the app page of "10,000+" models online. Those are the site's own figures.
The shape of the offer is simple. Watching a public room costs nothing. Everything that makes a show private, personal or steered by the viewer runs on tokens, which are bought. It is a live cam site, and the site describes live rooms rather than a shelf of on-demand clips.
The free offer
The front of the site sorts rooms by tabs for Girls, Couples, Guys and Trans, and a header search the site calls Magic Search looks across them. Beside the room grid sits a long filter column. A Specials group holds New Models, VR Cams, BDSM and Ticket Shows. Further down are filters for ethnicity, body type and hair, a set of popular tags such as Outdoor, Office, Big Tits and Interactive Toy, and a Mobile filter for models streaming from a phone. Other filters pick out rooms that allow recordable privates or Cam2Cam video calls, and a price filter groups private-show rates into bands. An All Categories link opens the full list. The sidebar adds My Favorites, Recommended and Watch History, and a visitor in the European Economic Area can switch off parts of the recommendation system from the bottom of that sidebar.
Inside a public room the visitor sees the live stream and the public chat. The support tour puts the choice plainly: watch "in the public room, or take the model to a Private Show". Rooms can carry a tip menu with listed activities, polls where viewers vote on what comes next, games, and toys that respond to tips. The about page groups these under "Be in control", and all of them are paid in tokens. The site does not say whether chatting in a public room needs a login.
A free account makes a visitor what the site calls a Grey user: "a user with no tokens in their account". It saves favorite models for later, lets a visitor send friend requests, and once two users are friends "you can send them messages for free". As read in October 2026, a support article says "Every hour we give 50 FREE tokens to 10 users with verified email accounts". A "Get 50 Free Tokens" tab sits at the bottom of every chat room, and a winner has 10 minutes to claim the prize or it is lost. The tokens page repeats the hourly draw and warns that any site or tool claiming to generate free tokens "is a scam".
VR and picture quality are where the site is most specific. The support tour says "Some models are streaming in 4K full VR", marked by a VR icon on the thumbnail and grouped under VR Cams, and invites a viewer with a headset to enjoy those streams "in the public room". The about page adds that a visitor can put a headset on and watch "right in your browser", and the site's own description promises "Live Shows of The Highest Full HD Quality and VR". It gives no resolution for ordinary rooms.
The Trans tab sits in the main navigation beside Girls, Couples and Guys, with its own room listing and its own photo page.
For phones, there is no store app. The app page explains that the "mobile app experience is delivered through a home-screen shortcut" for iPhone, Android and desktop, with step-by-step install guides for Safari and Chrome, and says "there's no need to download a Stripchat APK". The shortcut can notify a visitor when models go online or send a message. The support tour adds that the site is "mobile-ready" in any browser.
Where free stops, and the rules
Tokens are the line. The support tour says they pay for tips, for private, exclusive private and group shows, and for models' photo and video albums. The tokens page adds ticket shows, one-on-one chat, interactive toys and exclusive photos and videos. As of October 2026, the price filter groups private shows into bands running from 8-12 tk to 90+ tk. A group show is cheaper per head than a private one, and a ticket show charges a fixed price paid as a tip. A cheaper, watch-only seat in another member's private show also exists, with one free look in the first 15 seconds for users who hold tokens; beyond that the model's price applies, and such a viewer cannot chat. The terms bill group and private shows per second or per minute against purchased tokens, and billing runs until the viewer exits. A model may also charge a token fee for private messages. A paid membership tier sits above that, and the tour says its members "can chat with any model for free"; the site gives no price for it beyond a promotion of 7 free days with certain token packages.
Payment, as read in October 2026: the tokens page says to "pay by card in any currency or use cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin, USDT, USDC, Ethereum, Solana, Ripple, and 40+ other coins", and the support tour adds PayPal, Paysafecard, Skrill, iDeal and gift cards, depending on the country. The terms describe an optional auto-refill that charges the last payment method when the balance falls below a chosen level, which can be switched off in Settings. Refunds can be considered for a technical fault or a provably unsatisfactory private show, but never for tips.
Stripchat says nothing about ads on its own pages; the money it describes comes from tokens.
The terms set out how content is policed. Models must pass registration before they can broadcast, which uses "a third party KYC solution as well manual moderation". A dedicated in-house moderation team screens submitted content around the clock, and a computer vision system flags broadcasts where a model's face is hidden so staff can confirm the person matches the verified identity. A user who tries to upload content can be asked for a government ID and a selfie holding it. Models may allow viewers to record shows, but only for personal use. Reports go through a report form, with a separate route for visitors in the European Economic Area. The 18 U.S.C. 2257 statement is linked from the age gate, which says all models were 18 and over when the depictions were created, and a parental control guide is linked there too.
The DMCA page says the site is not based in the United States but follows notice and takedown voluntarily, names a designated agent and sets out a counter-notice route. The terms add that a user whose material draws three effective complaints within six months loses access. They describe the operator as a Cyprus company with registration number HE349515, under the law of the Republic of Cyprus, without giving the company's name in the text.
Who it suits
Stripchat suits a visitor who wants live public shows and is content to watch before deciding whether to spend. Someone who likes interactive extras such as polls, games and toy control can see what each costs before paying, and a viewer with a VR headset gets a dedicated filter and a browser route into 4K rooms. Phone users get a shortcut instead of an app store download.
It is a weaker fit for anyone who wants an on-demand library, because model photos and videos are sold as albums and the free side is the live room. A visitor who treats a public room as a stand-alone free show will also meet tip menus and invitations to go private all the time, and most of the interactivity is sold by the token.
The strength is clarity about the boundary. The public room, the Grey account, the hourly draw and the web app all cost nothing, the paid layers are labeled, and published moderation, verification and takedown rules sit behind them.
