What the site is

xHamster is a general free porn tube with a photo section, a short-video feed and a VR area, all open to visitors without payment. The FAQ answers its own question "Is xHamster FREE?" with "Yes, xHamster.com is a free tube site", and the terms say "User access to the Site is free of charge. We do not provide paid memberships of any kind."

The home page description speaks of "6M+ hardcore sex videos from pros and amateurs", which is the site's own count. The terms add that "a big part of the Site is available without creating an account", so browsing, searching and watching need no sign-up. The copyright line runs from 2007, and a country and language switch sits in every page header.

The free offer

The main menu opens with Videos, Best Videos, Short Videos, Watch Later and Watch History, then category, pornstar, creator, channel and photo menus. The category index, titled "Porn Video Categories and All Sex Niches", is the real map of the library. It sorts its tags into Production, Actions, Fetish, Orientation, Age, Ethnicity, Body, Hair, Number of people, Sex Toys, Apparel, Scenario and Location, and an A to Z list covers everything else, down to country tags. A "Porn in your language" block links language sections such as Porno en español, Pornos auf Deutsch and Porno in italiano.

Most genres sit in a predictable section. MILF, Mature and Granny are in Age; Anal, Blowjob, Deep Throat and Handjob in Actions; BDSM, Femdom and Bondage in Fetish; BBW, Big Ass and Big Tits in Body; Black and African in Ethnicity; Lesbian in Orientation. The lesbian page shows how deep a category goes: it links sub-tags such as Lesbian Kissing, Lesbian Massage and Mature Lesbian, and its filters work on the free list. Gay Porn and Transgender Porn appear in the same index for visitors who want those sections.

Filters are generous. A category page sorts by Trending, Newest or Best Videos and filters by quality (All, 720p+, 1080p+ and 2160p+), by frame rate (30 FPS or 60 FPS), by length (from 0~2 min up to 90+ min, or Full Video only) and by production, with Producers and xHamster Creators as the two sources. Tabs for 4K and VR sit above the category index, and an HD Videos and a 4K Porn link run along the category bar, so high-definition and 4K clips are one click from any list. The VR section, headed "Trending Free VR Porn Videos", adds its own filters for quality (1440p+ and 1920p+), viewing angle (180° or 360°) and 2D or 3D, and several of its clips are labeled as free full VR videos.

The photo section, titled "Free Porn Pics: Sex Photos", holds free picture galleries. It sorts by Top Rated, Most Viewed or Most Commented, has its own category list with genres such as BBW, Femdom, Granny, MILF and Lesbian, and shows a view count for each gallery.

A free account adds the personal side. The sign-up page, "Join xHamster for free", lists saving favorites, video recommendations and posting comments, and offers a user account or a creator account; registration also works through Google or X, and the terms allow it without an email address, though without one a lost password cannot be recovered. The FAQ says Favorites save "videos and photos" for later, that commenting needs a verified email, and that friends are "Unlimited". Comment ranks climb with activity, from Newbie through Porn Lover and Porn Expert to xHamster Legend, and spam is handled in steps: a 1-week block on comments, messages and blog posts, then a 30-day block, then a permanent one. A member can also earn a Community User mark by sending a photo of their face with a handwritten note of the username and the site name.

Where free stops, and the rules

Paid offers sit inside the same menu as the free library. Premium Videos, Subscriptions, Nude Chat and Dating appear beside the categories, banners invite visitors to join FapHouse, and a live-chat banner reads START CHAT. The terms answer what these are: "Any premium memberships or subscriptions made available via the Site are provided in part or entirely by third parties, regardless of any branding or names associated with such memberships." Advertising pays for the free side, and the site says so above its video and photo grids: "By clicking the content you will also see an ad." Downloads are not part of the free offer or any other; the FAQ says plainly, "No, You can't download videos from xHamster." The FAQ adds that the site has "an app for Android and iOS devices" and a mobile version.

Uploads are limited to Verified Members. The terms say verification is done by a third-party provider that checks documents carrying the member's full legal name, picture and date of birth, and the 2257 notice says no one may upload before completing it and confirming they are at least 18. Before publication the uploader must give documents or warranties that everyone shown was at least 18 when the content was made and agreed to appear and to the upload. Avatars must clearly show the creator and may not be ads, AI-generated images, face swaps, QR codes or phone numbers. Creators earn only after signing a separate ad revenue agreement, and the creator blog explains payouts and uploads.

Copyright notices go through the contact form's "Copyright Infringement / DMCA Notice and Takedown" option or to the designated agent, and the contact form must be filled in English. Repeat infringers lose their accounts, and removed material returns within 10-14 days of a valid counter-notice unless the claimant files a court action. Anyone who finds a video of themselves uses the same form. The EU DSA page reports 35 million average monthly active recipients in the EU and lists what drives recommendations, from clicks, likes and viewing history to the selected country and language. The terms do not name the operating company.

Who it suits and who it does not

xHamster suits a visitor who wants a large free library with filters that matter: quality up to 2160p+, frame rate, exact length bands and the choice between studio and creator uploads. It suits a VR viewer who wants free clips with angle and resolution filters, a reader of photo galleries, and someone who wants a phone app. A free account is worth it for favorites, comments and a personal feed, and it can be opened without an email.

It suits less well a visitor who wants to save files, since downloads are ruled out, or one who prefers a menu free of paid offers: premium videos, subscriptions, chat and dating links share the top bar with the categories, and the third-party premium banners appear on many pages. The category index is long enough that a narrow niche takes some filtering. The strength is the scale of what stays free, a full library with HD, 4K and VR filters and a photo section, backed by published upload, verification and takedown rules.
